Hi! I’m Alessandro Falanga — but feel free to call me Alex, it’s easier! 

I’m the son of Luigi and Lynn, born in Italy and raised in England until the age of seven. After that, I returned to Pompeii, where I’ve lived ever since.

I’m a licensed tour guide for the Campania Region, and I have a deep passion for history, archaeology, and geography.

I specialize in tours of Pompeii — a place that has always been part of my life. As a child, I played among the ruins. As a teenager, I sometimes hid there when I wasn’t in the mood for school. And today, I have the privilege of working there every day.

Being a guide in Pompeii — where you walk the same ancient streets that people walked 2,000 years ago — truly feels like a blessing.

That said, I face the exciting challenge of bringing an entire city to life in just a few hours. The only way to do that is by sharing with you the same sense of wonder I feel every time I step through the gates.

As I always say, a great visit to Pompeii should leave you with more questions than answers — and a desire to return. My goal is to inspire you to become a storyteller yourself, eager to share the magic of this place with friends and family.
